{{first_name}},
I think it’s fitting to revisit this topic. I first wrote about it last year here. But last year was all about getting known. I’ve realized it’s more important for people to trust you since they can know you in the gossip kinda way.
You’ve probably been told that you need some type of social media presence, and I agree.
You need some, but how much is some?
Well, you just need something that 1) keep you at the forefront of your prospective patients and 2) something that keeps you at the forefront of your current patients.
They both can be the same thing, but I would encourage you to think about it in a different manner.
The language you’ll use to attract patients, is not the same language you’ll use on them once they are patients. The offers are also different. The packaging is also very different.
But the point remains true.
If nobody knows you, nobody trusts you.
Nobody will trust your offer.
Whether you are a student, recent grad, business owner or associate, there’s no reason for you not to build your authority now. So today we are going over what you need to do over the next 90 day, to get known and build authority… The “You-Have-To-Go-To-Them” kind of authority
If I have to explain why you need to get known, then you need to go read last years issue here
If not, then here you go: The Authority Flywheel (if you are a student, this still applies to you)
The Authority Flywheel is the self-reinforcing loop where you turn expertise → trust → attention → demand → results → proof… and that proof upgrades your expertise and reach, which spins the wheel faster. (faster = more authority, more trust from consumers)
It’s like compounding interest for your reputation in social media.
Keep in mind authority is not the same thing as followers. It’s being trusted for a specific problem with a specific solution. This in turn builds your followers.
The 7 principles to build Authority:
Principle 1: Specificity creates gravity
One Audience. One outcome. One Angle. For 90 days. In 50 different ways.
Principle 2: Teach what you want to be paid for
Publish only what moves the needle for someone to reach out to you.
Principle 3: Trust transfers through repetition
One Message. One Angle. Written 50 different ways (learn to leverage AI here)
Principle 4: Owned attention beats rented attention
Capture leads every day. Every week. Every month.
Principle 5: Proof is the flywheel fuel
Don’t wait for patients to give you proof. Document everything ethically: milestones, wins, testimonials, etc. Then share them (with permission)
Principle 6: Authority converts through a simple next step
One Front End Offer With a Name Patients Will Understand
Principle 7: Community beats algorithms
Online communities amplify offline trust. Build in your community.
Once you’ve worked through those principles, here’s how you build your authority flywheel.
The Only Rules
Every week for 12 weeks:
3 short videos
1 carousel (or single educational post)
1 proof post (testimonial/case win)
1 lead capture CTA (DM keyword or download)
1 community move (coach/club/school/parent group)
1 email to your list
That’s it.
You thought it would be something much more complicated? No. The complication is in the execution.

Here’s an example of what we are doing in our office now that we are promoting more youth sports medicine:
Days 1–30: Build Trust with Parents
Goal: Get parents to KNOW, “This person knows youth sports injuries.”
Weekly content themes:
Video 1: Red flags (when to stop / when to get checked)
Video 2: Common mistake (what makes it worse)
Video 3: Simple home action (test/drill/warm-up)
Carousel: “3 things parents should know about ____”
Proof: “Kid returned to practice in X weeks because we did ___”
Lead capture CTA: “DM ‘GUIDE’ for the ‘Is this serious?’ checklist”
Community move: 1 post in a local parent group OR 1 coach DM
Day 31-60 will focus on a different goal. Day 60-90 will also focus on a different goal.
The weekly tasks remain the same. Just pick a platform to post and stick with it for 90 days.
Here’s how I am keeping track of my goals:
